Marian Heinzelman has been with Lilly Dermatology since May 2019, almost from the very beginning of the practice. As Clinic Manager, she plays an essential role in ensuring that every patient who walks through the doors feels welcomed, cared for, and valued. Marian chose the Lilly Dermatology team lead by Dr. Mercy Odueyungbo because she was looking for more than just a workplace—she wanted a supportive, positive environment where her skills could be both valued and challenged. What she found was not only a career, but a true community dedicated to patient-first care.

Marian’s mission as Clinic Manager is clear: to lead with integrity while cultivating an environment where patients receive the highest level of care. She is equally committed to supporting the staff, ensuring that every team member feels empowered to do their best work. Her steady leadership helps keep the practice running smoothly while maintaining the family-like atmosphere that Lilly Dermatology is known for across the U.P.

Education and Expertise

Marian began her professional career in Elementary Education, teaching for seven years before moving into the medical field. She also brings with her many years of customer service experience in retail, which shaped her ability to listen, problem-solve, and connect with people on a personal level. This unique combination of teaching, service, and management experience makes her especially effective at balancing patient care with the operational needs of a busy clinic.

Life Beyond the Practice

Outside of Lilly Dermatology, Marian enjoys a full and vibrant life with her husband and children. She finds joy in baking homemade treats, curling up with a good book, and spending time outdoors camping and hiking. She also has a love for singing and gardening—creative outlets that reflect her positive spirit. Whether she’s at home with family or exploring the natural beauty of the Upper Peninsula, Marian values the simple pleasures that bring balance and fulfillment to her life.
